Implants are also known as false teeth. It has three components: the crown, connector, and base. The crown is usually made of ceramic designed to pose as a natural tooth. Next is the connector, also called “abutment.” This part of the implant holds the crown and is usually hexagonal or octagonal in shape. Last is the base. Typically, a titanium screw that burrows through the natural bone to provide a secure, stable support. Meanwhile, filings are made of several materials like gold, silver, amalgam, and ceramic. Unlike regular filings, implants are better at resisting stains and chips.
Getting an implant has a lot of benefits, but the most important factor in this procedure does not compromise the neighboring tooth. Which means, it puts an end to the vicious cycle of rotting teeth. Unlike getting a bridge where the two adjacent teeth are compromised as the base for the bridge, an implant will not harm other enamels during its installation.
It is not only friendly to your mouth, but it also helps your pocket. Implants are cheaper in the long run since it does not need a regular replacement and maintaining it does not cost as much. Compared to getting a bridge or a regular filling treatment, deciding on switching to implants can save people thousands of dollars in the long run.
While a few thousand dollars seem like an investment, the returns of getting an implant to outweigh its costs, with a pleasant smile and a healthy mouth, a persons’ confidence can go through the roof. Armed with such confidence, individuals are more comfortable to pursue careers, relationships, and dreams. A good smile can take people places; for some, it has become their source of pride and joy.

Testimonials
Dr. Clark took over from the dentist ... whom I had for many years. The staff at the facility is exemplary. Cindy is the best hygienist ever, and every dentist there has been screened effectively and does a great job. This last weekend Dr Clark contacted us when my 80-year- old mother had a dental crisis. He was totally available, and worked it into the schedule to help her get back into working order. If you're in the Roseville area don't go anywhere else.– Chris Sacramento, CA
