Root Canal / Endodontics

Root canal treatments are necessary when the inside of your tooth (the pulp) has become inflamed or infected, as is usually the case when you might have advanced decay.

With root canal treatments (or endodontic therapy) we have a chance to restore your tooth.

Root canal therapy today is relatively painless, and certainly a better alternative to having your natural tooth extracted.

Modern techniques and anesthesia make root canal treatments so much more manageable and also allow for faster recovery among patients.

When patients are given a choice between having a painful tooth extracted or getting root canal treatment, we always recommend going the root canal route.

Our priority is to save and restore your natural tooth as much as we can. Even when you have dentures, bridges, or implants available, none of these will look, feel, or function just as well as a natural tooth.

When left unattended, the inflammation or infection can cause serious pain, and even lead to the formation of an abscess.

By cleaning and disinfecting the inside of your tooth, we get rid of all the germs, debris, and abscess, and fill that space up with a rubber-like cementing agent.

We then complete the procedure with a crown, so your tooth can now function normally once more.

Other than the occasional checkup, root canals don’t require much in the way of maintenance and can last a lifetime with proper care.

Root canals not just help you with your inflamed and infected teeth, they also allow you to continue eating what you like, while also allowing you to maintain your natural smile.

Testimonials

Dr. Clark took over from the dentist ... whom I had for many years. The staff at the facility is exemplary. Cindy is the best hygienist ever, and every dentist there has been screened effectively and does a great job. This last weekend Dr Clark contacted us when my 80-year- old mother had a dental crisis. He was totally available, and worked it into the schedule to help her get back into working order. If you're in the Roseville area don't go anywhere else.
